Goole On Film

After the huge success of their January screenings Goole Civic Society invite you once more to a showcase of historic films of Goole. Sourced from several collections, including the Yorkshire Film Archive and Pathe News collection, the event will showcase a series of films featuring Goole from the 1920s through to the 1980s. The event will also include the two specially commissioned projects for Goole’s bi-centenary year: • A recording of “Advance! Goole” – Goole’s Centenary Song - sung by the Warblers. • “An Aerial History of the Knottingley & Goole Canal” Please note that the films are shown as a historic record and their quality reflects the time of their creation.
